Losing weight, but also getting back in shape, detoxifying, and cleansing the body: these are the promises of detox. And in practice, how do you do it? Clever instructions for use.

Detox diets: How to Detox Your Body

Repeated food abuse, industrial and/or monotonous food, lack of oxygenation, (too) festive evenings...

All these little mistakes repeated day after day contributes to making us gain a few kilos, but also to tire the body.

How do you detox your body to lose weight?

A detox cure is essential! If the primary objective is not to lose weight, it contributes to it for several reasons: on the one hand, because it involves dietary changes (we will lose a little, depending on our previous diet).

Secondly, because its objective is to cleanse the body of its accumulated excesses, and to put the digestive and elimination organs to rest, in order to better "refurbish" them.

Usually overloaded, these, as a result, will function much more efficiently (we will burn calories better, for example): a kind of reset of the metabolism!

Finally, because this "gentle purge" method is also a parenthesis for oneself and one's body, which allows you to start off again on a really good footing, rebalanced, with energy to spare, a fresh complexion, beautiful hair, and top morale! Motivated to continue on good bases, you always keep good slimming reflexes.

Slimming detox: how does it work?

Slimming-detox

A slimming detox ideally lasts 3 weeks (minimum one), and it should not starve! It is not a question of eating exclusively vegetable broth and smoothies.

Simply, we actually increase the share of vegetables to fill up with fiber and vitamins. But we are making ourselves plates that are big enough so that we don't go hungry. Here are 10 tips.

How can I lose tummy fat fast?

Tip 1: Remove foods rich in toxins, which "clog" the body: cold cuts, red meat, dairy products and cheese, alcohol, and all sweet foods (sodas, desserts other than fruit), as well as anything industrial and ready-made (sauces, dishes, soups, bread, and cakes ...)

Tip n°2: Favour raw food: food contains many more enzymes when it is not cooked (these usually disappear around 50°C), and is richer in vitamins. When cooked, it is the least possible (exception: soups).

Tip n°3: Choose foods that I like: even if they are supposed to be detoxifying, you don't eat black radish, fennel or artichoke when you don't like them!

Tip n°4: Consume good sugars: rice (wholemeal), buckwheat, quinoa, but also legumes (peas, lentils, beans).

Tip n°5: Flavour: use and abuse herbs, spices, and reduce the amount of salt.

Tip n°6: Don't remove fats: but keep only the "good ones": eat avocados and nuts and almonds, use olive oil, rapeseed oil, nuts on your food.

Tip n°7: Eat in season: no strawberries or cucumbers in December! Choose fresh produce, go to the market, and take advantage of the opportunity to discover vegetables that are not usually eaten. A detox differs according to the season because the body has different needs!

Tip n°8: Cut out bread and reduce gluten by favoring foods that do not contain gluten (rice instead of Chinese pasta, for example, buckwheat instead of semolina...).

Tip n°9: Allow yourself a small snack if you are hungry: fruit or oilseeds, dark chocolate squares, plain soy milk, large homemade vegetable juice, hot or cold herbal tea type drink, green tea with lemon and ginger to drain and tone the liver.

Tip n°10: Prefer organic products: they contain fewer pesticides and additives, are richer in nutrition, especially vitamins, trace elements, and antioxidants. It's always good to take! If you're not used to buying organic products, you're doing well at your own pace, according to your budget.

What do you eat when detoxing?

A typical day:

- Breakfast:

Fruit at will (including banana, very beneficial)

+ A nice handful of oilseeds (unroasted, unsalted)

+ A hot drink without sugar (ideally green tea or herbal tea)

- Lunch:

A nice plate of vegetables (3/4 raw + ¼ cooked) with a dash of oil, the juice of a lemon, and aromatic herbs.

+ The first week, a bowl of cereals or legumes with spices or tomato sauce; the 2nd and 3rd weeks, alternate with 100 to 120g of fish or poultry or 2 eggs

+ 1 or 2 fresh fruits.

- Dinner:

A homemade vegetable broth

+ Its vegetables with a drizzle of oil and herbs, and possibly some cereals

+ 1 or 2 raw and/or cooked fruits.

What's more?

I massage my belly (always clockwise), I work on my breathing (abdominal as much as possible), I oxygenate myself gently (no marathon but walks in the forest, fast walking, swimming pool or a bike ride), and I rest (you may feel tired the first two or three days): long nights, quiet relaxation must be the order of the day!
